The list of stages below represents the phases I went through with my first book. Some of the stages were very obvious to me at the time, while others were more of a gliding transition that I only noticed afterward. It’s not a definitive guide, but my interpretation and choices about writing a book. In my first book, I did not go in a linear fashion through the steps. It was more like a game of snakes and ladders. One thing is certain (for me at least), writing the first draft is just the first quarter of the total work, maybe even less. It will take the time it takes to get to the end (and that is also just a new beginning so, yeah).
